What is Accutane?
Generic Accutane treatment, often referred to as Isotretinoin, is a natural extract of Vitamin A, called retinal acid. Several studies, including studies reviewed by the FDA, show that retinal acid reduces the oil glands in the skin, a major contributor to chronic acne. Retinal acid also contains anti-inflammatory properties that lessen reddening and infections around the skin pores. Since its introduction in 1982 millions of teenagers have used it to prevent acne, blackheads, and excessive oiliness.
Generic Accutane is essentially the same formula. It contains roughly the same formula, is available online or through medical prescription, and is available for adults and teenagers. With today's worsening economy, many are choosing the generic formula over the brand prescription. It generally clears up acne within weeks, with permanent relief in four to five months.
History of Accutane
Vitamin A was first used to fight acne in 1930. Since then, companies have developed too many varieties of vitamin A to count, including isotretinoin and consequently Accutane. Accutane was officially introduced by Hoffman-La Roche in 1982. Since then, they have outsold every other major acne treatment, even though it is recognized as being only for those with severe cases of acne, because when compared to otherwise toxic levels of vitamin A in its original form, Accutane actually causes fewer side effects ironically enough.
Accutane Benefits
Accutane completely stops oil production, and it is literally the only treatment that has been shown to work against severe forms of acne outside the major forms of acne such as acne conglobata. It is sometimes also the only acne treatment that works for those suffering from severe acne. However, it does not work for everybody, sometimes actually making acne worse. In fact, our research has revealed that Accutane can cause some severe side effects as well as not being effective against acne in certain cases.
Is Generic Accutane Safe?
Of course you may be concerned it could harm you. Many FDA approved medications carry the risk of severe, and sometimes life threatening, side effects. These effects are nearly non-existent with Generic Accutane, however, provided you use it correctly and do not misuse it. If you do misuse it, you may experience side effects such as headaches, dry skin, thinning hair, and excessive peeling. Always check with a physician before beginning an acne regimen, especially with Generic Accutane.

Works amazing. I’m three months in and the only issue I have had is back pain. In my eyes, I can deal with some side effects if it makes the pain of looking in the mirror disappear. Just toughen up and stick it out and your skin will be flawless. My skin has been amazing since I started it. I’m not saying to ignore side effects and reconsider but don’t let them stand in the way. I suffered for four years longer then I should have just because I was worried. Don’t wait any longer
